Getting Started with the Accessibility Zoom Feature for Apple Watch
The Zoom feature on Apple Watch allows a user to magnify anything on the display no matter what you are viewing. This article will go over how to setup, enable, use, and disable Zoom.
Locate and Enable
- Open Settings
- Tap Accessibility
- Tap Zoom
- Enable Zoom
Use Zoom
- Double-tap the screen with two figners to zoom in and out
- Double-tap and swipe up and down with two fingers to adjust the magnification.
- Drag with two fingers around the screen to move the magnification window around.
- Tap once with two fingers to switch the Digital Crown between panning with Zoom and normal use.
Zoom Settings
There are a couple settings you can adjust for Zoom listed and explained below:
- Maximum Zoom Level: Set the max magnification you can perform with Zoom.
- Hand Gestures: Use Zoom with Hand Gestures instead of directly tapping and swiping on the display. Learn how to set it up below.
Setup Hand Gestures
- Open Settings
- Tap Accessibillity
- Tap Zoom
- Tap Hand Gestures
- Set the various gestures to Zoom actions.
- Enable Hand Gestures
The normal gestures still work when Hand Gestures are enabled.
Note that on supported models, the universal double-tap gesture is unavailable when Hand Gestures is enabled for Zoom.
